Staying Local

Cozy up with a staycation; there’s no need to leave NYC to feel like you’re on vacation. Book a weekend stay for us at the Greenwich Hotel, one of my favorite boutique hotels. Together we can share a couples massage at the relaxing in-house Shibui Spa before enjoying a candle lit dinner at Locanda Verde. 

For a raunchier night let’s don our best evening wear and get wild at Duane Park, a live music and burlesque venue in the Bowery. With a curated menu and extensive drink list, we will enjoy libations while we both are dazzled as beautiful women in sequins and tassels dance around us and on stage. By the end of the show we will be itching to put on our own performance for each other. A relaxing morning with a leisurely breakfast in bed awaits us the next day before parting ways. 

For a night on the town let’s meet for drinks in the clouds (on the 64th floor) at Overstory. A destination for the panoramic views and cocktails that have placed the not so humble watering hole as #15 of “The best bars in the World”. After drinks we can head one floor down to Saga, whose contemporary tasting menu has won two Michelin Stars to enjoy a romantic dinner. Meandering back hand in hand to The Wall Street Hotel to let our more carnal desires take over in one of their luxurious rooms.

Near NYC

When the call to nature draws we can escape to a quaint town in the Hudson Valley. The Maker Hotel will be our home away from home as we explore the surrounding area. Taking in the sites as we wander Warren Street with its many antique shops and small businesses. An afternoon of fresh air and hiking in Greenport Conservation awaits us. Local farms and neighborhood restaurants work together to create a fresh culinary pallet, with our dinner at Feast and Floret highlighting these partnerships.

Within the 50 States

I love exploring the states outside of NY and am happy to create a city specific itinerary for us to enjoy. One of my favorite cities is New Orleans where we can take part in all of the hospitality of the Big Easy. We can start by toasting our trip at Jewel of the South, often rated one of the best cocktail programs in the world. We will luxuriate in a soaking tub big enough for two at Maison Métier, a small boutique hotel right outside the French Quarter. Jazz, the second language of NOLA, will play in the idyllic backyard of the local favorite Bacchanal, where hours can be spent sipping wine, eating cheese and forgetting the world outside the two of us.

International
I dream of the long romantic train journeys of a bygone era. With Belmond, slow travel becomes a luxurious artform. Sit back and enjoy the vista as one of the premier hospitality companies guides us through new or familiar destinations. I’ll be your partner as we tour whiskey distilleries on The Royal Scotsman, spend all night and into the early morning listening to live music ​​in Bar Car '3674' on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, or one of their many other offerings.
